Air Venture Flight Center Training Contract


To receive your private pilot rating in the specified time and at the specified cost, the following program must be completed as stated below. The following training quote is all under our 141 training program.

 

Private Pilot Rating

  • You will receive 20 hours of dual flight training in one of our Cessna 152s.
  • You will receive 15 hours of solo flight training in one of our Cessna 152s.
  • You will receive up to 17 hours of dual ground training.
  • Your private pilot check ride will be scheduled after 35 hours of flight time and you have demonstrated to your instructor that you meet the PTS for your private pilot rating.

 

Instrument Pilot Rating

  • You will receive 35 hours of dual flight training in one of our Cessna 152s.
  • You will receive 15 hours of solo flight training in one of our Cessna 152s.
  • You will receive up to 17 hours of dual ground training.
  • Your instrument pilot check ride will be scheduled after 35 hours of dual flight time in this course and you have demonstrated to your instructor that you meet the PTS for your instrument pilot rating.

 

Time Building for Commercial

  • You will receive 65 hours of solo flight training in one of our Cessna 152s.

 

Commercial Rating SEL

  • You will receive 45 hours of dual flight training in one of our Cessna 152s.
  • You will receive 10 hours of dual flight training in our Piper Arrow. You will receive up to 15 hours of dual ground training.
  • Your commercial pilot check ride will be scheduled after all of the Air Venture TCO requirements have been met in this course and you have demonstrated to your instructor that you meet the PTS for your commercial pilot rating.

 

Multi-Engine Add-On

  • You will receive 10 hours of dual flight training in our multi-engine aircraft.
  • You will receive up to 5 hours of dual ground training.
  • Your multi-engine check ride will be scheduled after all of the Air Venture TCO requirements have been met in this course and you have demonstrated to your instructor that you meet the PTS for your multi-engine add-on rating.

Not Included

  • The cost of this training does not include FAA “check rides”.
  • For your information and budgeting, historically, check rides last about 1.5 hours in flight.
  • The examiner fee is usually $350.00. The private pilot check ride might cost $486.50 (1.5 x 91 plus 350).
  • The cost above DOES NOT cover additional training, books, pilot supplies, headsets, change of aircraft for any reason, fuel cost increases, check rides, examiner fees, taxes, housing, food, or transportation.

 

Student (this means you) Expectations

Students are expected to come to each lesson, ground or flight, prepared. Prepared means that you have read the lesson objectives and have prepared accordingly. Questions are encouraged, but too much repeating or retraining of the same subject matter by an instructor, will cause the over all training costs to rise, by using up the allotted ground or flight training time.

 

Air Venture TCO (training syllabus)

Students are expected to satisfactory pass selected written tests when given. Additional ground training given as a result of missed questions will be charged at the normal rate, in addition to any other charge. Students are expected to solo within 13 hours. Students requiring more flight instruction to solo, will receive additional training and will be charged in addition to any other charges.

 

Failure to pass stage checks or progress checks, when required, will require additional flight training and/or additional ground training at the normal rate and will be charged in addition to any other charges. Failure to satisfactory meet the requirements of the PTS for any rating will require additional flight training and will be charged in addition to any other charges. If additional training is required, it will be the responsibility of the student to arrange to pay for the extra costs or charges associated with that extra training. As always, a positive cash balance in our Air Venture bank account is required to begin and continue training.

 

Flight/Ground Training Cancellation or “No Show”

Students will not take it upon themselves to cancel flights for any reason. Students must get instructor approval. Missed lessons due to student miss management of their time is subject to the following charges. Cancellations within twenty-four hours of a lesson, not weather related, $100.00. Cancellations within six hours of a lesson, not weather related, $150.00. Cancellations within one hour of a lesson, not weather related, $200.00. No Show, will be charged $300.00

 

Cancellation of Training Program

Flight training program cancellation fee is $300.00. After which; Air Venture will return the students money less any direct or indirect fees incurred by Air Venture, that is on their account within two weeks of written notice of program cancellation.

 

NOTE: The training program within this document, does not guarantee anything. Air Venture Flight Center cannot and does not guarantee aircraft availability, training times, time of day, ground training location, flight training location, etc. It’s the student responsibility to know the Air Venture TCO and manage their flight times, their costs, and what they eventually need for the rating sought.
